THE CREATORS BOOTCAMP:
DIRECT THE CHAOS.
The filmmaking industry has shifted. Ad agencies and major brands are no longer dropping massive budgets on 10-minute traditional videos; they want high-octane,
15-second vertical micro-campaigns that hook a viewer instantly.
The Creators Bootcamp at Bangkok Film School is a 15-day intensive agency sprint designed to reboot your production skills for the 2026 attention economy.
We are tearing up the traditional, slow-burn film theory and replacing it with pure execution.
This course operates on a “Street to Studio” duality. You won’t just sit in a classroom. You will execute kinetic, run-and-gun guerrilla filmmaking in the neon streets of Bangkok, and then transition into our blacked-out studios to master high-end, luxury commercial polish. You will master the Rule of Three: The 3-second hook, the 3-part campaign, and the 3-minute max attention span.
The Bootcamp is broken into three ruthless phases:
● PHASE 1: THE BLUEPRINT. Nailing the “Scroll Pitch.” You will learn to condense complex narratives into a few seconds of visual intrigue and design a visual identity that stops thumbs.
● PHASE 2: THE HUSTLE. We hit the streets. No permits, no tripods. You will master kinetic movement, motivated practical lighting, and mandatory in-camera transitions (whip-pans, foreground wipes, match-action cuts).
● PHASE 3: THE POLISH. Step into the lab. Master luxury lighting setups, ASMR-level sound design, and the high-speed commercial color grade to make your footage pop on any smartphone screen globally.

Curriculum: Creators Bootcamp
Phase 1: The Hook & The Visual Identity (Days 1–3)
Forget heavy dialogue. This phase is about grabbing attention
instantly and building a premium aesthetic.
Day 1: The 3-Second Hook & The Moodboard
● Morning (Hands-On): We skip the elevator pitch.
Instead, students break down trending high-end commercials. We immediately dive into lighting for that minimalist, Luxury European aesthetic—deep charcoal backgrounds, muted gold accents, and refined shadows.
● Afternoon (The Challenge): The “Thumb-Stopper.” Students have two hours to shoot and edit a 5-second looping video in the studio that relies entirely on visual intrigue.
Day 2: Vertical Rigging & Open-Gate Mastery
● Morning: Technical breakdown. How to rig the Nikon ZR for dynamic 9:16 commercial work. We cover shooting open-gate, balancing gimbals for vertical, and stripping the rig down for fast, immersive run-and-gun movement.
● Afternoon: Speed-lighting. How to walk into a real location (like a cafe or a boutique) and make it look cinematic in 15 minutes using just one key light, negative fill, and practicals.
Day 3: Immersive Movement & Transitions
● Morning: Ditching the tripod. We focus on kinetic camera moves—whip pans, push-ins, and matching action across cuts to make scrolling seamless.
● Afternoon: Pre-production sprint. Students finalize the shot list and location logistics for their 3-part campaign.
Phase 2: The Campaign Sprint (Days 4–7)
We treat this like a real commercial gig with a ticking clock.
Day 4 & 5: Field Production (The Run-and-Gun)
● The Setup: Students are out in Bangkok shooting their campaigns. They rotate roles daily (Director/Shooter, Talent,Lighting/Grip).
● The Vibe: Fast, adaptive, and entirely on location. You roam between groups acting as the Executive Producer, pushing them to get the shot before the sun goes down or the location kicks them out.
Day 6: Studio Production (The Product/Detail Day)
● The Focus: High-end b-roll. Students come back to the studio to shoot the macro details of their campaign (e.g., ice dropping into a glass, fabric textures, tight product shots) using specialized lighting to splice into their main edits.
Day 7: The Silicon Edit & Ecosystem Workflow
● The Setup: Moving straight into post. We focus on maximizing speed and efficiency within the Apple ecosystem, utilizing AirDrop handoffs, iPad-to-Mac workflows, and optimizing ProRes footage for social platforms without losing quality.
Phase 3: The Polish & The Drop (Days 8–10)
Where good footage becomes viral content.
Day 8: Sound Design as a Weapon
● The Focus: In short-form, sound is 60% of the experience. We spend the day on ASMR-level sound design. Students layer whooshes, risers, foley, and trending audio to make their visuals hit twice as hard.
Day 9: The Commercial Grade
● The Focus: Color grading for mobile screens. Ensuring skin tones pop and that signature refined aesthetic translates perfectly to an iPhone display. By 5 PM, all three videos are locked.
Day 10: The Drop & Live A/B Testing
● The Event: Instead of a quiet, polite screening room, we host a “Launch Party.” We project the videos, but more importantly, students actually post their campaigns live.
● The Wrap: We analyze the immediate analytics, discuss hashtag strategies, algorithm optimization, and how to pitch these exact portfolios to real brands.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Q: Do I need a $10,000 cinema rig to take this course?
A: Absolutely not. We are strictly gear-agnostic. Whether you shoot on a mirrorless setup, a dedicated cinema camera, or a smartphone, you are welcome. The bootcamp focuses on the creator’s skill, not the camera’s price tag. We teach you how to direct the lens you already own and push it to its absolute cinematic limit.
Q: Do I need to bring my own laptop?
A: Yes, bringing your own laptop is mandatory. The post-production phase is a high-speed edit sprint.
You will need your own machine (Apple ecosystem is highly preferred for unmatched workflow speed, but Windows is fine) equipped with your preferred editing software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or CapCut Pro).
Q: Who is teaching the course?
A: The bootcamp is led by Nemo, an Instructor at Bangkok Film School and a veteran commercial DP with
over a decade of industry experience. Nemo brings real-world agency workflows to the classroom, drawing from his high-profile credits as the Director of Photography for several high value productions.
Q: Where exactly will we be shooting?
A: Everywhere. We utilize thedynamic range of Bangkok. You will shoot kinetic action sequences in the neon-soaked alleys of Yaowarat and the gritty, textured streets of Talat Noi. Then, you will bring that footage back to the BFS studios to execute precision macro-details and luxury lighting setups.
Q: I’m a beginner. Is this too advanced for me?
A: This is an intensive bootcamp. We move fast. While you don’t need to be a working professional to join, you must have a baseline understanding of how your specific camera works and how to navigate your editing software. We are here to teach you commercial directing, lighting, and pacing, not how to turn your camera on.
Q: What do I actually get at the end of the 15 days?
A: You don’t just leave with a certificate. You walk out with a fully graded, sound-designed, premium 3-part vertical micro-campaign ready for the global market. You leave with a professional portfolio piece designed to attract premium clients and ad agencies.
